Installing The Printer On Your Computer
To install the Canon printer on your computer, you need its driver file. The setup CD/ROM that comes with the printer contains the latest version of the driver file. If the CD is not provided, you can download the latest version of the driver from the printer’s official support page.
Downloading The Printer Driver
- Go to the Canon printer's official page from your Windows or Mac computer’s web browser.
- Click the Products tab or menu.
- From the products’ list, select your printer model.
- Now, the support page of your printer will open.
- Click the tab named “Drivers & Downloads.”
- Check to ensure that your computer’s OS type is selected correctly.
- Now, locate the recommended printer driver for your operating system and click the Download button beside it.
- Wait for the selected printer driver file to download.
- Once the recommended printer driver file is downloaded, you can begin the installation process as discussed below.
Installing The Printer Driver
